Trying to find a good movie on Netflix is a lot like going to a garage sale. There may be some goodies in there, but you have to pick through a lot of crap to find them. So from time to time, I'll give you some solid recommendations for movies and TV shows that you might enjoy. I'll have a range of genres with some old stuff and new stuff. For now, here are some goodies you might want to check out:
Toy Story 3 - I assume you've seen it, but if not, you really need to check it out.
Office Space - a film that failed at the box office, but has become a cult classic--for good reason.
The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret - I wanted say it is great, but I would say it's pretty funny.
True Grit - Jeff Bridges is outstanding. Check it out, even if you aren't a fan of Westerns.
Downton Abbey - this seven episode miniseries is outstanding for the Upstairs/Downstairs crowd.
The Fighter - Christian Bale gives an all-timer of a performance. Definitely worth watching.
Sin Nombre - a foreign film about a guy fleeing a street gang by hopping a train out of town.
The Iron Giant - The first film by Brad Bird, director of The Incredibles and Mission: Impossible 4.
Portlandia - SNL's Fred Armisen anchors this comedy series set in the kooky Northwest.
6 Days to Air: The Making of South Park - a funny, fascinating glimpse into how this brilliant show is put together.
Tangled - the recent Disney film will end up being considered a classic.
Waiting for Superman - a documentary about the American public school system sounds boring, but this is captivating stuff.
